About the event
This May, Noble Dragons Taekwondo Club are taking on the National 3 Peaks challenge.
The National Three Peaks Challenge just has to be the best known mountain challenge in the UK - Climb and conquer Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon – the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales – all in under 24hrs. 23 miles of total walking distance and a total ascent of 3,064m. It is no mean feat.
We are taking on this challenge to help support students willing to compete in future International and major competitions. We are also taking this opportunity to support and raise money and awareness to support a charity that is close at heart to several members associated with the club. All money raised from the challenge will be split evenly between the club and the charity Epilepsy Action.
Epilepsy Action is a charity that works to improve the lives of everyone affected by Epilepsy - From diagnosis to treatment. Epilepsy is a condition that affects the brain and can cause frequent seizures. There are many different types of seizures and they have different effects and can cause a wide range of symptoms. Seizures can vary in frequency, from less than one per year to several per day. Epilepsy is usually a life long condition perfect and can affect anyone at any age. It can start at any age and can have a major impact on your everyday life, to things most of us take for granted. It can also impact on your health and well-being, including memory, depression, sleep and stress.
